Se presentan 135 casos de fractura compleja de radio distal tratadas con fijador externo. Los resultados funcionales fueron buenos o excelentes en 95 de los 135 casos (70,3 %). Los resultados radiológicos fueron buenos en 78 de los 135 pacientes (57,8 %). Dado el alto porcentaje de fracasos tanto clínicos como radiológicos registrados en nuestra casuística, consideramos que el método debe ser utilizado con precaución, siguiendo una técnica meticulosa que evite las complicaciones relacionadas con su uso. |
Summary: |
135 cases of complex fracture of the distal radius treated with external fixation are presented. Functional results were good or excellent in 95 of the 135 cases (70,3 %). Radiological results were good in 78 of the 135 patients (57,8 %). In view of the high percentage of both clinical and radiological failures observed in our casuistry, we think that the method must be used cautiously, using a careful technique that avoids the complications related to its utilization. |
