Resumen: |
Se presenta 1 caso de tumor de células gigantes (TCG) de localización en la extremidad distal del radio. El tratamiento consistió inicialmente en curetaje y relleno con cemento. Tras recidiva local se realizó resección del radio distal y reconstrucción con autoinjerto de peroné proximal (no vascularizado). Después de 5 años no hay evidencia de recidiva local o sistémica, no tiene dolor y la funcionalidad de la extremidad es aceptable. |
Summary: |
We present a case of giant-cell tumor located at the distal part of the radius. Initially, treatment consisted of curettage and packing of the cavity with cement. Due to a local recurrence, resection of the distal part of the radius and nonvascularized fibular bone autograft was performed. After five years there is no evidence of local or systemic recurrence, the patient is without pain and the function of the extremity is acceptable. |
