Resumen: |
La coxalgía no es una patología habitual entre los diagnósticos de una cadera dolorosa. Generalmente afecta a adultos y ancianos, aunque en pacientes inmunodeprimidos puede darse a cualquier edad y durante el proceso de su curación deben realizarse cuidados rehabilitadores y ortésicos, aunque la cadera suele sufrir secuelas. Restituir la función de una cadera destruida mediante un reemplazo articular es un proceso difícil que debe acompañarse de la profilaxis de recidivas. Sin embargo, es posible establecer este diagnóstico durante el tratamiento de pacientes considerados afectos de otro proceso, en quienes la sustitución de una cadera destruida debe seguir otra estrategia. |
Summary: |
Tuberculous coxitis is not an usual disease among the diagnosis of a painful hip. It generally affects to elderly and middle aged people, but in case of immunodeficiency can be present at any age. Rehabilitation and orthopaedic care must be carried during the healing process; nevertheless, the hip usually results with residual damages. To restore the function of a destroyed hip with a total prostheses is a very hard process and must be followed with prophylaxis against relapse. It is possible to settle this diagnosis while treating patients whose diagnosis were different, and the hip replacement must follow another strategy. |
