Exponemos el caso de una mujer de 52 años que presenta fractura-luxación de C6/C7 traumática con ausencia de clínica neurológica. Se opta por tratamiento definitivo programado a las 48 horas por la Unidad de raquis y cirugía en dos tiempos, primero reducción cerrada y abordaje anterior, seguido de cirugía por vía posterior a los 7 días. La evolución de la paciente es satisfactoria, manteniendo su grado de ASIA. Las luxaciones cervicales habitualmente precisan de una reducción urgente. En nuestro caso, al ser una paciente neurológicamente intacta, nos permitió realizar tratamiento diferido de la lesión, tal y como muestran distintas referencias bibliográficas en la actualidad. |
Summary: |
We present the case of a 52-year-old woman with traumatic C6/C7 fracture-dislocation without neurological symptoms. The decision was definitive treatment 48 hours later by a specialized surgery team in two stages: first, closed reduction and anterior approach, followed by posterior approach after 7 days. The patient's progress has been satisfactory, maintaining her ASIA grade. Cervical dislocations usually require urgent reduction. However, in our case, because the patient was neurologically intact, it allowed for a delayed treatment approach for the injury, as supported by various current bibliographic references. |
