La fractura-luxación de Chopart es una patología extremadamente rara en la edad pediátrica. En la escasa bibliografía existente, se describen los traumatismos de alta energía y posicionamiento del pie en flexión plantar e inversión como origen de las luxaciones producidas en el mediopié. Es necesaria una rápida reducción y fijación con el objetivo de preservar el estado de las partes blandas y evitar complicaciones graves sobre la extremidad. El objetivo de este trabajo es el de presentar el caso de un paciente de 11 años con fractura-luxación de Chopart, así como las recomendaciones basadas en nuestra experiencia y encontradas en la literatura. |
Summary: |
Chopart's fracture-dislocation is an extremely rare pathology in the pediatric age. High-energy trauma with the foot in the plantarflexed and inverted position seems to be the origin of dislocations produced in the midfoot as described in the bibliography. A fast reduction and fixation are necessary in order to preserve the state of the soft tissues and avoid fatal complications on the extremity.The aim of this paper is to present the case of an 11-year-old patient with Chopart's fracture-dislocation, as well as the recommendations based on our experience and found in the literature. |
