Resumen: |
Las fracturas diafisarias de radio con luxación posterolateral de codo ipsilateral son una entidad rara con baja frecuencia. El objetivo de este estudio era analizar el diagnóstico, tratamiento y seguimiento de estos pacientes y realizar una revisión de los casos descritos en la literatura. Presentamos 3 pacientes con esta asociación intervenidos en nuestro centro. El tratamiento de la luxación en los tres pacientes fue cerrada. Un paciente precisó de fijador externo por presentar fractura diafisaria de húmero. En los tres pacientes se realizó una reducción abierta con fijación interna del radio mediante placa bloqueada tipo LCP. Dos pacientes presentaron recuperación completa de la movilidad, y el último paciente precisó de artrolisis de codo por importante limitación en la movilidad.Cabe destacar la importancia de determinar la estabilidad del codo tras la reducción de la luxación y realizar un tratamiento precoz del radio para intentar disminuir el tiempo de inicio de rehabilitación. |
Summary: |
Diaphyseal fractures of the radius with posterolateral dislocation of the ipsilateral elbow are a rare entity with low frequency. The objective of this study was to analyze the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of these patients and to review the cases described in the literature. We present 3 patients with this association operated on in our centre. The treatment of the dislocation in all three patients was closed. One patient required an external fixator due to a diaphyseal fracture of the humerus. An open reduction with internal fixation of the radius was performed in all three patients using an LCP-type locked plate. Two patients had complete recovery of mobility, and the last patient required arthrolysis of the elbow due to significant limitation in mobility. It is important to determine the stability of the elbow after reducing the dislocation, and perform an early treatment of the radius to try to reduce the time of immobilisation. |
