El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar si existen diferencias epidemiológicas entre los pacientes con hallux valgus con y sin metatarsalgia; con una serie de 77 pacientes. La edad media de los pacientes fue de 56,1 años, con un 81,8% de mujeres. En nuestro estudio no hemos encontrado diferencias epidemiológicas entre los pacientes con hallux valgus con y sin metatarsalgia asociada. La presencia de metatarsalgia se asociaba a la deformidad de los dedos menores, y al grado moderado-severo radiológico del hallux valgus. |
Summary: |
The purpose of the study was to determine if there were epidemiological differences in hallux valgus deformity with and without metatarsalgia. An observational, analytical, longitudinal, prospective cohort study of patients attended in our consultation between January 2015 and December 2016 was performed. Seventy-seven patients were included in the study. The mean age of the patients was 56.1 years, with 81.8% of women. We did not find epidemiological differences in patients with hallux valgus deformity with and without metatarsalgia. The presence of metatarsalgia was associated with lesser toe deformities, and moderate or severe radiological grade of hallux valgus. |
