El schwannoma es el tumor benigno de nervio periférico más frecuente, siendo excepcional su presencia en los nervios de miembros inferiores. Presentamos un caso en una mujer de 44 años que consultó por dolor y paresias en la pierna derecha. En la exploración física se evidenció una masa profunda dolorosa a nivel de tercio proximal lateral de pierna derecha, con signo de Tinel positivo. En la resonancia magnética se apreció un schwannoma de nervio peroneo profundo. Se intervino resecando la lesión, siendo el diagnóstico anatomopatológico positivo para schwannoma. Tras 18 meses de seguimiento, la paciente se encuentra asintomática y sin signos de recidiva de la enfermedad. |
Summary: |
Schwannoma is the most common peripheral nerve benign tumor and the localization on the lower limbs nerves is exceptional. We report a case in a 44-year-old woman consulted for pain and paresthesias in the right leg. On physical examination, a painful deep mass on the outer side of his right leg was evident, with positive Tinel sign. In the soft tissue echography and the magnetic resonance, a schwannoma of deep peroneal nerve was observed. Excision of the lesion was realized, being the pathological diagnosis positive for schwannoma. After 18 months of follow up, the patient is asymptomatic and without signs of recurrence. |
