Resumen: |
Se presenta un caso de espina bífida sacra con incrustación de la megaapófisis espinosa de la quinta vértebra lumbar, que se manifestó clínicamente por dolor ciático y lumbalgia. El tratamiento quirúrgico fue resolutivo. Se discute la necesidad de que existan otros factores asociados para que la malformación se exprese en la clínica. |

A case of spine bifida occulta of the first sacral segment with engagement of an enlarged fifth lumbar spinous process is described. The causes of the sciatic pain and lumbalgia and successful surgical treatment are dilscussed. The appearance of clinical sympthomatology of this malformation requires descompensating facts |
