Resumen:
 Se recogen 25 artroplastias de cadera en las que fue utilizada la prótesis de Monk, en las fracturas de cuello de fémur de los viejos. La revisión después de un año permite tener experiencia en cuanto a la mejor tolerancia cotiloidea a esta hemiartroplastia.
Summary:
 25 Monk's prothesis in its new model (Duopleet) were analysed with one year follow-up.
The resullts were completely satisfactory. The mechanical joint into these prothesis lead us to thinking that it is better tolerated by the socket than the non-articulated prothesis.
