Se revisan las causas más frecuentes de espasticidad susceptibles de un tratamiento quirúrgico, así como los problemas de rehabilitación la cual, junto al uso de miorrelajantes, se considera como el mejor tratamiento iniciaL Se describen las distintas técnicas quirúrgicas: radicotomías, mielotomías, talamotomías y lesiones a nivel del núcleo dentado y sus resultados, indicando en cada caso lo más adecuado. Los casos más indicados son los de espasticidad limitada. |
Summary: |
The common ethiology of spasticity, suitable for surgery, is reviewed. The rehabilitation and the use of miorelaxant drugs is tbe best treatment for initial manifestations. The usual surgical tecniques are: Radicotomy, mieloptomy, talamotomy and dentante nucleos lesions. Their results are considered from each individual case, the most suitable for surgical treatment are the limited cases. |
