Resumen:
Se estudian la etiopatogenia, clínica, diagnóstico radiográfico y tratamiento de la epilfisiolisis de la extremidad superior del fémur. Se ha efectuado considerando que la enfermedad cursa en dos fases, una que llamamos de epifisiolisis cuya alteración reside en el cartílago de crecimiento y la segunda de epifisiolistesis cuya característica es el deslizamiento epifisario.
El trabajo incluye una amplia revisión bibliográfica así como una revisión de las 46 caderas tratadas en nuestro servicio.
Summary:
The etiology, natural history, clinical aspects, X-Ray diagnosis and treatment of the slipped capital femoral epiphysis are considered reported by the author's experience.
There are two stages: the former is the simple «epiphysiolisis» whose pathological basis consists of sorne changes in the grown cartilage; the latter
having epiphysis sliding; «epiphysiolisthesis».
45 affected hips which were treated will be analized and an extensive bibliography has been collected.
