Resumen: |
Los autores estudian 30 pacientes portadores de fracturas intracapsulares de cuello femoral que habían sido sometidos a procedimiento protésico sustitutivo cervicocefálico tipo Thompson. Se realiza un estudio comparativo entre la radiología inicial y el trazo de fractura objetivado durante la intervención y en el estudio de la pieza macroscópica extraída. Hacen especial énfasis en la constancia de la línea espiroidea del trazo de fractura, considerando que en el mecanismo patogenético jugarían preferentemente fuerzas de rotación de diferente grado de intensidad. |
Summary: |
Thirty fractures of the femoral neck which were treated by sustitutive Thompson protesis were studied to confront the initial radiological appearance of the line of fracture with the findings of the operation, in order to show the helicoidal type of the fracture in all cases, which suggets the role of the torsion stress in its mechanism. |
