El concepto de los encajes de «Contacto -total» logrando el efecto hidráulico, ha dado un excelente resultado en el tratamiento de las fracturas agudas de fémur, retardos de consolidación del fémur y en las pseudoartrosis de fémur, ofreciendo una carga precoz, un mayor impulso osteogénico en el foco de fractura, desarrollando consolidaciones medias más rápidas que por los medios ortopédicos habituales y menos complicaciones que los tratamientos quirúrgicos. 'El tiempo medio de rehabilitación y de readaptación se ha acortado en beneficio del paciente. Los yesos funcionales PTB, QTB, Münster y Arm cast, nos ofrecen grandes posibilidades terapéuticas cuando la indicación, técnica y sistemática, sea ordenada. |
Summary: |
The concept of the «Total-contact» prostesis achieving a hydraulic effect, has given excellent results in the treatment of acute fractures of the femur, delayed non-union, and non-union, offering «weight-bearing» a major osteogenic stimulation in the focus of the fracture, developing consolidation methods more rapid than by usual orthopaedic means and with less complications than with surgical treatment. The average time for rehabilitation and return to normal use has been reduced to the benefit of the patient. The functional brace PTB, QTB, Münster and Arm cast offer us great therapeutic possibilities when the technical and systematic indication is pre-established. |
