Resumen:
 Se revisa la evolución y resultados finales de 295 fracturas de diáfisis de tibia a distintos
niveles, abiertas y cerradas, tratadas en su mayoría por métodos conservadores. De
ellas, 153 fueron tratadas con vendaje isquiopédico y 120 con polaina y carga precoz.
Los resultados finales obtenidos son mejores con este último método, consiguiendo una
consolidación más rápida y un menor índice de pseudoartrosis.
Se comparan los resultados con los tratados por métodos quirúrgicos.
Summary:
 A fuIl follow-up of 295 fractures of the shaft of tibia treated by conservative methods is
analysed, 153 of them treated by long plater and 120 by gaiter and early weight bearing.
The best results were obtained by the latter method, with an earlier fussion and lesser
rate of pseudoarthrosis. These results were compared with those obtained by surgical
methods.
