Se presentan los resultados tardíos del tratamiento del quiste óseo mediante infiltración con acetato de metilprednisolona. En un período de tres años se han tratado 16 casos habiendo obtenido una respuesta favorable en el 87'5 por 100 de los mismos, con 9 curaciones completas, 3 curaciones incompletas y 4 casos todavía en evolución. Se hace un análisis de la técnica de infiltración local y un estudio químico y enzimático del líquido intraquístico extraído en 3 de los casos. Son estudiadas las diversas hipótesis del mecanismo de curación. Los resultados obtenidos con este método parecen señalar que es el más idóneo para el tratamiento de estas lesiones. |
Summary: |
The results of the treatment of bone cysts by local injection with methylprednisolone acetate along tite last three years are reported. From sixteen cases, favourable results were obtained in 9 of them (87'5 % ) , with complete bone repair, in three cases incomplete bone repair and four cases had a short follow up. The technique of local injection and chemical analysis of fluid cysts is studied. The good results obtained have led to no considering the surgical treatment of bone cysts in the Orthopaedic Clinical University Department of Valencia since 1980. |
