Resumen:
 Los autores presentan su experiencia de 33 prótesis de total artroplastia de sustitución
de la rodilla aplicadas en el período 1971/1981, por artritis reumatoideas y por artrosis
en su mayoría.
Los resultados con las prótesis tipo charnela han sido inferiores a los obtenidos con
las prótesis de deslizamiento. Es una cirugía de indicaciones muy estrictas pero de indudables
beneficios para el paciente.
Summary:
 The authors report their experience on 33 cases of total knee prothesis performed
along 1971/81 in reumathoid arthritis and ostheoarthritis. The results with the slidings
prothesis have been better than those obtained with the hinge prothesis.
The total hip replacement is an operation with very strict indications but provides great
benefits to the patients.
