Se presenta un caso de fractura de la apófisis odontoides asociada a luxación rotatoria unilateral del atlas sobre el axis. Se comenta la clínica característica del enfermo y se describe el tratamiento. Se discute la relación entre el mecanismo lesional y los hallazgos clínicos y radiológicos. |

A nineteen years-old patient with a fracture of the dens (Odontoid Process) associated to a unilateral rotary dislocation of the atlantoaxialis articulation is reported. The injury mechanisrn, the physical and radiological finding are described. The treatment is discussed. |
