A propósito de 30 casos de «Pulgar de Stener» tratados quirúrgicamcnte, se estudia la función y mecanismos estabilizadores de la articulación metacarpo-falángica del pulgar, así como su importancia en la función de la mano. Se estudia el mecanismo lesional, los tipos anatomo-patológicos de lesión más frecuentes. y se insiste sobre la necesidad de un diagnóstico precoz clínico y radiográfico. así como de la importancia de su tratamiento quirúrgico. única manera de restaurar la estabilidad articular, y finalmente se describen los métodos de reparación y sus resultados. |
Summary: |
Thirty cases of rupture of the ulnar-collateral Iigament of metacarpal phalangeal joint of the thumb (Stener's lesion) are reported. The biomecanics of this ligament and the mechanisms of its rupture as well as the most frequent anatomopatologic types are described. The importance of the surgical treatment and sorne details of its technique are emphasized. |
