Resumen:
 Se presenta una serie de 87 casos de síndrome subacromial tratados quirúrgicamente en nuestro Servicio mediante descompresión subacromial abierta y reconstrucción del manguito. Tras la intervención, el 85% de los pacientes tuvieron un resultado satisfactorio, con una mejoría significativa tanto del dolor como de la movilidad del hombro (p < 0,001).
Summary:
 A series of 87 cases of impingement syndrome with rotator-cuff tears, treated surgically in our Service by open acromioplasty and repair of the rotator cuff is presented. After the operation, 85% of the patients had a satisfactory result, with a significant improvement as much of the pain as the movement of the shoulder (p < 0.001).
