Resumen:
 Los autores aportan su experiencia en 57 fracturas de tibia tratadas según el método funcional. De esta forma se obtienen un 72% de uniones en tiempo normal.
La reducción ha tenido una angulación menor de 10° en el 58% de la casuística y en ningún caso el acortamiento ha sido mayor de 1'5 cm.
Los resultados subjetivos han sido completamente satisfactorias en el 78'90/0 de los pacientes, y 21' 1 dijeron tener algún grado de discapacidad.
Las complicaciones a señalar han sido 1 - Sudeck, y 2 - Tromboflebitis.
Summary:

Among 57 tibial shaft fractures treated with functional method are collected. The authors report their experience with this systern. They obtain 720/0 of good results (unions), within normal periode of time. The angulation was smaller than 10° in 58% of cases, and never the shortening was bigger than 1''5 cm.
The subjetive results have been satisfactory in the 78''9% of patients, and 21''1% 01'' them had sorne disability.
As compllcations, one patient had Sudeck''s Syndrome, and 2 patients with thrombophlcbitis.
