Resumen:
 Se: presentan 5 casos de luxación posterior dc hombro; dos de ellos corresponden a fractura luxación. La etiología en todos fue traumática. Se analiza los diferentes mecanismos lesionales las manifestaciones clínicas y los signos radiográficos para tratar de evitar que esta lesión pase desapercibida. Finalmente se discute su tratamiento y pronóstico.  
Summary:
 The authors have observed 5 cases of posterior traumatic dislocation of the shoulder, This is uncommon shoulder injury and the diagnosis is missed on first examination. AII were recognlsed easily except two. Diagnosis is made diflicult by the fat that clinicai signs are sometimes minimum or absent. The Icsions are descrlbed and the mechanism of the leslon is considered. Treatment was conservatlve in all cases of posterior dislocation and surgical treatment in fracture-dislocation.
