Resumen: |
Presentamos un caso inusual de una rotura bilateral simultánea y espontánea de ambos tendones de Aquiles, en un varón de 74 años, sin antecedente traumático previo. El paciente estaba previamente diagnosticado de una enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC). El estudio ecográfico no confirma la rotura bilateral del tendón de Aquiles. Se realiza revisión quirúrgica bilateral, que confirma la sospecha inicial, tenorrafia e inmovilización mediante yesos inguinopédicos durante 4 semanas en posición equina y durante 2 semanas más en posición neutra sin apoyar, seguido de rehabilitación ambulatoria. Se consiguió una reparación completa con una deambulación normal. |
Summary: |
We report an inusual case of a simultaneous and spontaneous bilateral Achilles tendon ruptures, in a 74 yearsold male, without traumatic previous. The patient previously had been diagnosed of a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The ultrasonography not confirms the bilateral Achilles tendon ruptures. We do an opened surgery revision, and confirm the initial suspicion, and a bilateral reconstructed and bilateral immobilized with two groinfoot gypsums, for 4 weeks in the equinus position and then in the neutral position for 2 weeks without weightbearing, with posterior ambulatory rehabilitation. We obtain a completely reparation with normal walk. |
